8.
Why do I need to use special software to take tests?
We have created special software for you to take tests.
It has the following unique features:
A. Its test interface i.e. the screen
where you take the actual test, is designed to be a very
close simulation of the actual CET test. Thus, you get
the real feel of the actual CET tests
B. The software is designed to operate
on any kind of Internet connection be it dial-up or broad-band
C. The software requires very little
actual Internet connection. It does not require Internet
connection when you are actually solving the tests. Thus,
it helps you minimize the Internet charges
D. The software gives you immediate results
of all the tests that you take
E. The software gives you very detailed
– topic-by-topic - analysis for each test that you
take. This helps you plan your studies
F. The software, also, gives you your
relative ranking. Thus, making it possible for you to
judge your preparation
G. The detailed – topic by topic
- analysis
----<top>-----

10.
How can we change our information (email, tel no etc)
A. Go
to the web site
B. Login with your User Name and Password
C. Your Login menu has options for you
to change your personal information.
|
11.
When can we disconnect from the Internet and when should
we reconnect?
Our software to take tests is designed to minimize your
Internet time. As you proceed to generate and take tests
the software will prompt you to disconnect and connect
to the Internet whenever it is required.
|
12.
Can we see the given test again for our reference?
You can see all your tests, in detail, as many times as
you want. They are always available to you for reference.
In fact, we recommend that you see your tests as many
times as you can to analyze and improve your performance.
Since, there is no chance that you will be asked the same
questions again there is no harm and a lot to gain by
checking your old tests again and again.
When you go to see your test-wise reports, you can choose
any test and view it.
You can, for obvious results, cannot change anything in
these tests.
----<top>-----
|
13.
Why can’t we change the answer once given?
MHT-CET rules specify that you be required to mark your
answers with a BLACK Ball-point pen. It is quite obvious
from this that once you mark your answer in the answer-sheet
you will not be able to change it. It is also obvious
that marking more than one answer is not going to fetch
you any marks. Since, at EntranceTestsOnLine.com, we are
committed to give you a test environment as close to MHT-CET
as possible we have duplicated this behaviour in our tests.
So, you cannot change your answer once you mark it and
you will get no marks for marking multiple answers.
|
14.
What is Ranking?
The Ranking figures shown in the topic-wise and paper-wise
reports represent what are known as ‘Percentile
Ranking’. To put it simply, it represents the number
of students who have scored equal to or more than the
marks obtained by you as a percentage. Thus, if you are
top of the class you will get a percentile rank of 0,
the top most, and if you are at the bottom of the class
you get a percentile rank of 100, the lowest.
These are relative rankings amongst the students who have
taken the same tests and should be treated as such. For
all practical purposes your absolute marks should give
you a clear indication of your preparedness.
----<top>-----
|
15.
While preparing a test, why do I get the message “You
have finished all the questions for this topic! Please
select another topic.”?
We have created a huge
databank of questions. However, it may happen that you
may take too many tests of a specific topic and exhaust
all the questions in the databank for that topic. If that
happens the system will tell you to choose another topic.
DON’T WORRY. If you have solved
all the questions for a specific topic correctly then
you have nothing to worry about. You would be fully prepared
for that topic.
|
16.
While preparing a test, why do I get the message “You
have completed the available topic wise tests! Please
register for more tests!!”?
In
whatever scheme you choose you will get certain number
of topic-wise test and certain paper-wise tests. As you
take more and more tests you may complete your quota of
tests.
DON’T WORRY. You can choose our
additional packs and keep taking more and more tests.
We want you to be fully prepared for your MHT-CET exam.
So we have ensured that you can take as many tests as
you desire.
----<top>-----
|
17.
How many tests can I take for each topic?
You can take as many tests as you
want for an individual topic. There is no restriction
on that. Your total topic-wise tests are restricted to
the total topic-wise tests as defined in the scheme that
you choose.
|
18.
What are topic wise tests?
Topic wise tests are small tests
on individual topics. They are of 25 questions each. They
are of two types:
A. Practice
A practice, topic wise, test has
no timer. You can take as much
time as you want to solve them
B. Timed
A timed, topic wise, test has
a timer. The timer time is calculated
pro-rata from the actual full paper time for the
subject.
----<top>-----
|
19.
What are Final (Paper wise) tests?
The
final tests are a simulation of the actual CET papers.
As per the CET norms they are for papers in Physics +
Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. They have as many
questions as in the CET actual test and give you exactly
the same time to solve the paper.
These tests will actually test your preparedness for the
CET exam.
|
20.
What are timed tests?
A timed test has a timer. All Final
tests are timed tests. A topic wise test can be either
timed or not.
The timer time is calculated as per the actual full paper
time for the subject. Thus, a Final test will have the
same time as the actual time set for the paper in that
subject by CET; and a timed topic wise test will be for
a time calculated pro-rata from the actual full paper
time for the subject.
Once the timer runs out the system locks the answer sheet.
So, you will not be able to mark answers after the timer
for a timed test runs out. The timer is displayed prominently
on your test screen.
It is a countdown timer i.e. it shows the time that is
remaining for you to solve the paper. Thus, when the timer
runs down to 00:00 your time is over.
----<top>-----
|
21.
What are practice tests?
These are topic wise tests with
no time limitations.
|
22.
I have taken a practice test but it does not appear in
my ranking? (Why do practice tests do not appear in the
ranking?)
Practice tests do not have any time
limits. Thus, you can take your time to solve them and
achieve the best possible result. This is not really helpful
in understanding your actual preparedness for the CET
exam.
That is why they are not included in the calculation of
Ranks.
----<top>-----
|
23.
What happens if the lights go when I am taking a test?
Practice tests do not have any time
limits. Thus, you can take your time to solve them and
achieve the best possible result. This is not really helpful
in understanding your actual preparedness for the CET
exam. That is why they are not included in the calculation
of Ranks.
|
24.
What happens if my computer crashes when I am giving a
test?
We are very conscious of the fact
that situations like these are not in your hand. We want
you to benefit fully from your use of our systems. So,
if you cannot complete a test for any reason, the system
will prompt you the next time you Login. You will be asked
to complete the pending test. The only constraint is that
you will have to take the full test again.
----<top>-----
|
25.
Who has prepared the question bank?
Carefully selected, experienced
faculties, who have been in the CET training field for
a number of years, from all over Maharashtra, have prepared
the question bank. This ensures that you get a very wide
selection of questions. Since CET papers are set by a
similar set of people from all over Maharashtra, you are
assured of being prepared for all the type of questions
that can appear in the actual CET.
|
26.
Can I solve the same questions again?
NO. You cannot solve the same question again. There would
be no point in attempting the same question once you have
tried to solve it and know the answer. BUT, we have thousands
of questions in our databanks, so you will be able to
solve questions based on the same principal. Thus, you
will be able to test your preparedness on all aspects
of the subject over and over again till you have achieved
the best possible result for you.
This also ensures that you get to solve 5000+, unique
questions in the Basic Pack.
----<top>-----
|
27.
Each test is unique ?
All the tests that the system generates
are unique. Thus, if you and your friend take tests together
both of you will get different sets of questions. This
ensures that when you look at your test scores then you
can be sure that they actually reflect your own preparedness
and nothing else.
|
28.
If each test is unique how do you ensure uniform Ranking?
All the tests that the system generates
are unique. Thus, if you and your friend take tests together
both of you will get different sets of questions. This
ensures that when you look at your test scores then you
can be sure that they actually reflect your own preparedness
and nothing else.
----<top>-----
|
29.
Can someone else use my registration information
and give tests?
You affect your own registrations
on our web site. You choose your own User Name and Password.
The system ensures that your User Name is unique. Your
access to the system is only through the User Name and
Password. Your Password is stored in encrypted format
in our system. Thus, it is not know even to our own staff.
Unless you give your login information to someone else
it is not possible for that person to login and take tests
in your name.
If you forget your Password, you can request the system
to generate a new Password. You can login using the system
generated password and change it immediately to make sure
that no one else knows the new Password.
----<top>-----
|
30.
How does this system benefit me?
A. CET Simulation
B. On-Line, take tests anytime anywhere
C. Instant results
D. Instant answers
E. Detailed analysis
F. A mix of topic wise and final tests
G. Question bank prepared by faculty from all over Maharashtra
----<top>-----
|
31.
What is the best way to practice?
If you have already given your 12th
exam and are now preparing for CET then the best way to
practice is:
A. Take a final test in each of the papers that you are
going to appear i.e. PCM / PCB / PCMB
B. Check your score and the detailed topic wise analysis
C. Find out the topics that you are weak in
D. Start with your weakest topic and study it with the
help of your teachers
E. Give a topic test in that topic
F. Repeat this till you are satisfied with your score
for that topic
G. Repeat these tests for all the topics
H. Take a final test again and re-asses your scores
I. Repeat these steps till you are satisfied with your
scores
J. Repeat these steps for each paper that you are appearing
for.
